We had the best 4th of July imanginable! Our best friends, Ashley and Bryan came to visit! It was so nice having them here. We miss them so much!

Ashley and I are both pregnant with baby girls and due within one month of each other. Here we are with out baby bumps...

Hayden really enjoyed having them here. He is still asking for Bryan to come over and play!

We took Ashley and Bryan to Rendevouz, which is a world-famous BBQ restaurant downtown Memphis. It was so yummy! After dinner we walked down to Beale Street! Yes, we took our baby to a bar! Just kidding we stayed outside and had the best time people watching.

Saturday night, Will and Steph came over for a cookout. Hayden really enjoyed having Will read to him about becoming a Big Brother!

Of course it would not be the 4th without Daddy shooting off Fireworks! Hayden loved the fireworks and is still talking about them.

June- What we have been up to!

We have been playing a lot outside lately. This is really the first summer that Hayden has been able to enjoy the outdoors. One of his favorite things is to watch Daddy mow the grass. He always wants to help!

Another favorite of Hayden's is playing in the sprinkler. It is amazing how much joy a $9.99 sprinkler can bring to our "little man's" world.

We also got the opportunity to meet the newest member of our Chattanooga family...Baby Hogan! We spent the weekend with Chris and Kelly and had a blast getting to visit with old friends. I have been really worried about how Hayden is going to react with a new baby, so this was a good test and he did great! He always wanted to make sure Baby Hogan had toys to play with and he also wanted to help but baby Hogan to "night night."

As many of you know, Hayden has a birthday coming up! While we were in Chattanooga, he got to open an early birthday gift from the Haileys'

Hayden loves his Gator Golf! We have recently made this an outside toy for obvious reasons. Thanks Kelly and Chris making Hayden's birthday so special!

We Moved!

In May we moved from Chattanooga to Collierville. It was very hard saying goodbye to our friends and first house. It has been quite an adjustment moving to west Tennessee, but we are finally settling in and enjoying everything that the Memphis area has to offer.

Hayden's school went all out this year for their annual Easter Egg Hunt. They had a full petting zoo, pony rides, train rides and of course the egg hunt.

he grabbed the duck by its neck. Luckily Daddy and GiGi were right there to save the duck. I love this picture b/c of my Mom's face.

This picture cracks me up! You would think with all of the activities going on, any child would be in heaven... not ours, he was in the worst mood ever. He did not want to participate in anything.

I know it has been a very long time since my last post! We have had lots of changes in the Johnson Family household. Moving to a new city, starting a new job, and being pregnant has about done me in as far as stress comes.
But, we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Things are starting to settle down. It looks like our house has sold (FINALLY), and we found out on Monday that we are having a baby GIRL! We are thrilled! Baby Emma looks great! What more can we ask for...God is so good! I have so many pictures to post of all the activities we have done while settling in to west Tennessee. We really like the small town we live in and cannot wait to get involved in the community. Thank you so much to all of our friends and family! We could not have gotten through this without all of your love and support. I would especially like to thank my Mom for being my rock over the last few months! We are very blessed to have you in our lives.

For my Mom's birthday we just had to come to Kingsport to celebrate. We had so much fun! We went to Ridgewood BBQ. It was David and Hayden's first experience with the best BBQ ever! David went back on Sunday, but we stayed for the week and got spend some quality time with GiGi!

Saturday was absolutley beautiful! The weather was awesome! It was sunny and 70 degrees. We thought it would be the perfect night to take Hayden to see the lights at Rock City. He was everywhere and was into everything! We had a lot of fun but I was exhausted by the end of the night!

We had an amazing Christmas! We are blessed in so many ways. My mom (Gigi) spent the entire week with us. It was great! We made many new memories and enjoyed spending time celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.

Last Tuesday, Hayden, GiGi and I made our rounds around town and delivered some Santa gifts to some of our favorite people!

Here is baby Grace! Isn't she beautiful? It is hard to believe that she is already 7 weeks old. Her mom, Magen, and I have been friends for over 10 years.

Hayden had so much fun visiting with Haley and Jackson. We have really become close this year. Thank you Jen for always being there for me! You are the best!

Here are two of my favorite people... Luke and Danielle! Danielle is one of the strongest people I know. I look up to her in so many ways. We are so happy for their new family. Merry Christmas and enjoy your little miracle!

David has been gone a lot lately, so we decided to go with him and spend some time in Memphis. David had to work during the day, but we had a lot of fun hanging out in the evenings.

Last week David's brother, sister-in-law and our two nieces spent the entire week at our house for Thanksgiving. There was never a dull moment with a 16 month old, a 2 1/2 year old and a 4 year old running around the house. We all survived and we made a lot of memories that we will cherish for many years to come.

We spent the weekend in Gatlinburg after Thanksgiving. Friday, we conquered the outlets and had dinner at the Peddler...YUM! Saturday we went to Dollywood. I had not been there in years. There is so much to do for every age. Hayden enjoyed riding the rides with his cousins and the adults had fun riding the roller coasters. A big thanks to my Mom and my Mother-in-law for watching the kids so we could have some fun!

Last Thursday we were so lazy! We stayed at home all day... which is a rare occurrence in this household. Hayden had a lot of fun destroying the house. He was so tired from playing he laid down in the floor and went to sleep.

A couple of weekends ago we went to Fenders Farm in Jonesboro, TN. It was so much fun! Anyone who live in this area should take full advantage of this awesome Fall tradition!

We went with one of my Mom's co-workers and his family. There was not a dull moment with 3 boys trying to find their way through a corn maze. After Fenders Farm we went to a yummy dinner at the Farmer's Daughter which was the BEST meal of my life.

This weather is awesome! Finally, we can get outside! "side" as Hayden says. We have a wonderful park near our house that is the perfect size for Hayden. We spent the afternoon swinging, kicking a ball, and playing on the playground.

This weekend we dashed to Kingsport for one of my oldest friends wedding. My good friend Bunny, who I have known my entire life, married her prince charming, Chris! We had so much fun! The reception was beautiful and it was great to see so many people that we had not seen in such long time.

Hayden has officially taken off! He is walking everywhere and is so proud of himself! On Tuesday, Hayden had is follow-up appointment with his ENT. He scored an A+ on everything! Dr. St. Charles thinks the tubes have helped with his balance and in return he is able to walk. Life at the Johnson household is totally different! He is into EVERYTHING!

Moments that take your breath away...

Last week we took Hayden to the beach for the very first time. There are absolutely no words to describe how unbelievable this is. Watching your child's eyes through this experience is such a great reminder of how good God really is.

We vacationed in South Carolina at Hilton Head Island. This is my favorite place on earth! I have so many wonderful childhood memories on this very same shore!

I love this picture of my Mom and Hayden! She is so good with him and has so much patience when teaching him new things. Hayden really loves spending time with his "Gigi" and we are very lucky to have all of her love and support in our life!

Hayden's Party

We had Hayden's party at the Walker Pavillion in Coolidge Park. It was a perfect day for a party! The guests ate lots of cupcakes and we all went for rides on the carousel. Some even played in the animal fountains. Everyone had a blast! Thank you to everyone who shared this special day with us. We could not be blessed with a better group of friends and family!

Monkey's One!

On Saturday, July 12, our "little man" turned one! He had his one-year old check-up on Monday. He now weighs 22.1 lbs and is 30inches long. Wow! I cannot believe how much he has grown! Dr. Tigar said that he was perfect and right on track in his development. He is going to have to see an Ear Nose and Throat doctor. He has now had seven ear infections since the end of December. We do hope he does not have to have tubes, but if it will prevent the infections then it will be in our best interest.

Hayden loves going to the aquarium! Last Wednesday, my new friend, Melady and I took our boys to see the fishes. Melady and I are in the same mom's group and are also in Junior League together. Her son Wyatt is 8 months old and as cute as he can be!

Hayden's favorite exhibit are the penguins. He was waiting for them to come back around.

Happy Birthday America! We had such a wonderful week! David was home all week! We had such a great time spending it with friends and family. Thursday, we went to "Pops in the Park" with Ashley, Bryan, Kelly, & Chris. It was Hayden first experience with fireworks! He loved them and was not scared at all. Of course he was extremely excited about all of the attention he was gettting from Uncle Bryan, Aunt Ashley, Aunt Kelly, and Uncle Chris. On Saturday, we spent the day at the Hogan's lake house. It was a great day and we had a blast! We are really going to miss our Chattanooga family! Thanks guys for making our 4th so special!

This week Hayden and I took a roadtrip to visit Aunt Abby in her new house in Murfreesboro. Abby and Dana just moved into their brand new beautiful house and Hayden and I got to be their very first house guests. During our visit we went shopping and had dinner at Wolf Gang Pucks. Apparently, it is a favorite of the Paisley Family (YES, I do mean Brad, Kimberly, and Huck) and they visit frequently. Abby and I have now decided that our new career should be waiting tables at Wolf Gang Puck since we are such BIG fans.

Today we got to celebrate Kyle's first birthday at the Chattanooga Zoo! They have recently made several changes to our zoo and this was their new Grand Opening!

On Tuesday, Jen and I took the kids to Creative Discovery Museum. Since David and Jason have been traveling so much lately, we have been getting the kids together a lot! It was so cool to see Hayden interact with all of the different exhibits.

On Sunday, we spent the day at the Hogan's lake house. It was a beautiful day and it was also Hayden's first experience in a swimming pool! The water was really cold! Hayden did not know what to think about it. He was not a big fan at first! When we finally got him in he had a blast! His Aunt Linds even taught him how to kick his feet!

David and I have been so blessed to have such a great group of friends. They have always been there for us and are such a great support system. We are going to miss Chattanooga, but we are really going to miss our friends! On Saturday night, they threw us a going away party at Las Margaritas. Las Mas was one of our favorite hang-outs in college. They have the best margaritas! They also got us a Chattanooga print and they all signed the mat. What a great keepsake that we can hang in out new house to always remind us of our Chattanooga family!

Since Hayden is the ring bearer he went too! While Kelly was trying on dresses we decided to have a little fun with Hayden. David was a good sport about the whole situation, but did say never again. A week a GiGi's!

Hayden absoultely loves his "GiGi!" Since Dave has been traveling so much we thought we would pack up and come spend the week with my mom. It was so good to come and visit! I got to visit with friends from high school and spend a lot of time with my mom. She taught Hayden how to say "clock, kitty-cat, and dog!"

Finally there is a tooth! We were starting to worry. The last few days "Little H" has been a bit on the fussy side. This is pretty rare for him. This morning it dawned on me that there might be something trying to make its way through. Sure enough there it was, his very first tooth! We couldn't be more excited about this milestone! Today Hayden and I got to spend the day with two of our very favorite people, Jackson and Haley Shields. Jackson is the smartest 3 year-old and Haley is the sweetiest little girl. We had so much playing. Hayden did not know what to do with himself. He was so excited to have friends over to play. Thanks Jen for letting us hang out with your kiddos.

On Monday Hayden turned 10 months old. We took his monthly picture with "Barley the Bear" to see how much he has grown. This month it was a little challenging to take his picture. Hayden is all over the place! He did not want to have any part with sitting still and letting me take his picture. I finally had to bribe him with my cell phone. Oh, well desperate times call for desperate measures.

Today was the best day ever! My wonderful husband and my little "monkey man" started the day off by bringing me breakfast in bed. After church, we spend the beautiful afternoon at Coolidge Park. I got to take Hayden on his first carousel ride. At first he was not sure about this horse that was taking him round and round, but he soon started laughing and waving to everyone as we went by. Today was a great day! I am very blessed to have such a caring husband and happy child to make this day so special!

Hayden's best friend, Peyton! Peyton is our first baby. She will be 3 in August. She loves Hayden and is very protective over him. She always comes and helps put Hayden to bed and loves to sleep right beside the crib! If we could just teach her to fetch diapers!

Our little "Monkey Man" is 9 months old. We took him to see Dr. Tigar on Tuesday and he was 19lbs. 11oz. and 30 inches long! He is in the 45% for weight and the 90% for height, but most importantly he is healthy and as happy as can be! He is now our little speed crawler and standing up and cruising everywhere. David has recently had to baby proof our house because he is in to everything! Here are some pics we took of Hayden this week...

GiGi came to visit last weekend and we took Hayden to see all of the fishes at the aquarium. It was great to see how much he has changed and how interactive he is with all of the animals now that he is older.

Today was the first day we have felt like getting outside. This week Hayden has had a really bad ear infection and I have had strep throat which has just been a blast! We both have also had a case of cabin fever so it was great to finally see the sunlight! What a beautiful day to get outside! My mom got Hayden a bubble machine and it was a huge hit once he figured out he could pop the bubbles. He just laughed and laughed! We also went to our neighborhood park and spent the afternoon.

After leaving Greensboro, we decided to go and visit Aunt Lindsay in Charlotte. Lindsay is one of my very best friends from college and her mom just so happen to be visiting from Peoria. Hayden just loved Lindsay and Dan's dog, Bella. It was so great to see you Linds and Holly! I miss you so much!

Hayden had such a great day! We were in Kingsport, so we went to First Broad Street, which is the church I grew up in and the church David and I were married at. He was the entertainment in church and also in my Mom's Sunday School class. He also had a visit from the Easter Bunny! His favorite gift was the chicken that actually played the "chicken dance"

What a week! Last Friday we went to Kingsport for the Easter weekend. Hayden and I decided to stay and spend the week with GiGi. We had so much fun! We decided to take Hayden to North Carolina to visit with family and friends. We also got to spend time with Leslie when we got back from N.C. MiMi (Hayden's babysitter) had her annual Easter Egg hunt yesterday afternoon. Emily Baskette kept Hayden while I was still working. She is the most wonderful lady you could ever imagine. We were very lucky to have her and will miss her dearly.

Hayden had so much fun watching the other kids get all of eggs. He even managed to get one himself. And where did it go... his mouth of course!

Rachel's visit

Rachel came to visit us in Chattanooga yesterday. She is was on Spring Break and thought she would drive down from Knoxville for the day. This was her first time to see Hayden. She was so amazed with how active he is. We had so much fun playing with Hayden and going out to lunch.
